I believe the key to a perfect wardrobe is investing in great staples. I understand that sometimes thinking of staples can seem a bit, well, boring. Basic white tops, basic dark jeans, basic cardigans, it's all so - basic. Thankfully, Andrea Lieberman - designer of A.L.C. makes the most beautiful modern basics that add perfectly to any existing wardrobe. Lieberman's pieces are great to mix and match among each collection and are a modern, elegant take on the everyday basics. I don't think there has been a collection from Lieberman that I have not liked. Her A.L.C. Resort 2014 collection is fabulous. Elegant pieces that can be worn daily with little surprises like open backs with simple bralike straps as so one does not feel overexposed - it's the perfect amount of exposed skin without being, risqué.

The whole collection is perfect to me so it was difficult to pick my favorites. I wish I could own all of them. The styling is great too, very easy and chic.

HOLY COW.

I can't believe it's already November first - whattt. Time has flown by so fast it seriously felt like just yesterday I was graduating from college and now it's been six months already! *hold as I just had a mini panic attack while writing that* Working and interning has taken over my life and every now-and-then I'll take the time to shoot some pictures and gather acorns for Thanksgiving because the five year old inside me still lives on.

I'm so happy it's Friday, the weekend has been calling my name since...well...last Monday but here here, Saturday is just some few-ish hours away. Today I'm sharing some of the links I love from this past week - enjoy!

one: I've always wanted to try my hand at videography so I love looking up vimeos on it (I've found the better the video, you'll find it on vimeo rather than youtube, the quality is just a hundred times better) - This video is an inspiration to me and I watch it often. Created by one of my favorite bloggers for her site elephantineblog - take a LOOK.

two: I'm a huge huge fan of Marchesa. I think they make some of the most stunning formal dresses and bridal gowns. I would die to just try one on. I'm mostly obsessed with one half of Marchesa, as in the stunning Georgina Chapman. She is currently a judge on the new season of Project Runway All Stars - yay - I couldn't be more thrilled. Net-a-Porter did an interview with her for The Edit, and it's really great. Read it HERE.

three: I intern at a company called Artifact Uprising in Denver. It's great, and I'm not just saying that cause I work their but I was a huge fan before I was hired. Anywho - they are releasing an iPhone app soon so you can make your photobooks straight from your iPhone. YES, you heard me right. No more plugging things into things into other things, just straight from your phone. I'm so excited to be helping with the launch. AU teamed up with some awesome video dudes from Boyte Creative to make this VIDEO. Check it out!

When I think of pearls the word classic comes to mind. Timeless and sophisticated also could be said about a set of perfectly white pearl earrings. Some may even argue a bit more mature, or even - dare I say - grandma status. Well, the classic pearl earrings have taken a turn, for the modern. Jewelry designer Sophie Bille Brahe has created a stunning collection that has made me think twice on the 'grandma' or 'someone who wears too many polos' status of pearls. The designs are pretty simple, which stays true to the classic pearl but there is something a little edgier about the pieces that looks so youthful and pretty amazing if you ask me. I can't even handle it. I want every piece.

Something about the gold bars mixed with the pearls is so fantastic. This is such an incredible collection, and the lookbook is featuring one of my favorite models which is just the cherry on top of a beautiful pearl filled cake - ya know!

The Caramel Coat.

Recently, caramel has been on my mind. I'm not just talking about the candy, but this rich, creamy color is everywhere this Fall season and I'm absolutely smitten. Something about this color looks so sophisticated and polished. For me, it's like the brown of blacks, as in, this is probably the only tone of brown that I absolutely love wearing. It really suits all skin colors and looks so great matched with black skinnies. Very Parisian chic I believe which is the best sort of chic to be. Non?

My favorite of these three jacket's has to be the AllSaints. The collar is super flattering and it has a beautiful fitted shape. I'm petite so the length on this coat was great, no alterations needed. Living in Colorado has made me acquire many coats and I was not planning on buying a new one this season but I feel like this one might just be worth it. What do you think about the Caramel Coat?
