I know so many of us make New Year’s resolutions that revolve around bettering ourselves. Less screen time, drinking more water, I feel like I add those to my list every year, along with bettering my workout journey. To be honest, if I have a spare hour, I would rather take a nap than work out but that isn’t always possible so I’ve started doing small things like just stretchy or meditating when I have even 10 minutes.
I think short more achievable goals is what I aim for and when I told myself I don’t need to block out an entire 45 minutes to do a work out, it lessened the ‘shame’ I felt when I wouldn’t get to it. What also helps? New workout wear. Something you’ll get excited to put on even if you end up just running to the grocery store with it haha. At the end of last year, I purposely got rid of an embarrassing amount of college workout clothes with my beloved CU Buffs logo on it. Don’t worry, I kept the good stuff but I didn’t need student government t-shirts and shorts from 2010. So here are some cute pieces to add to your wardrobe to get you motivated to just move your body! Some days you don’t need anything crazy, I mean - I chase a toddler around the house all day…that’s a workout!
