Wow, it’s been a minute! Or 4+ months that I’ve update my blog. It took the back burner when Covid hit, I just couldn’t find any inspiration to be frank! There was too much happening for me to feel like this space was important but I’ve realized how much I’ve missed blogging. Social media has become such a heavy place for me and with this new chapter of becoming a mother, I wanted to come back to my roots. I’ve been blogging for 10+ years now! It’s always been something I’ve done to get inspired and inspire others. So I’m going to actively try to update again. I’m sure I’ve said this before and ended up not being so active but when I first started blogging, it was my safe space to write and share and not feel any pressure. I’m drawn to that again and I thank you if you’ve stuck around for all these years or are new to reading my blog. I appreciate each and every single one of you!

I wanted to be open on here too with you all that I’m not sure what the direction I will take of this space. I know I’ll still be sharing my typical lifestyle, fashion, beauty but I’ve also been so inspired by interiors and cooking that I think I’d like to venture into sharing my interior projects and all the recipes I’m trying. I’m not quite sure how much of Motherhood I want to touch on. I’ve been very protective of that new role and I’m sure i’ll share tidbits here and there because it’s truly my number one role now but I’m also aware of the importance of keeping my daughter’s life mostly private. So I wouldn’t write myself in as a ‘mommy blogger’ and that’s ok! It’s just not our journey but as always, things evolve and change so we’ll see how things develop.

I wanted to also open up for feedback! Is there anything you’d like to see from me on my blog or my Instagram? More of something specific that you like? Would love to know so please leave a comment or message me!

Once again, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You don’t have to be here or read this but your choose to and I’m forever grateful for that. As always, my ‘door’ is open to chat - feel free to message and talk to me, I love chatting with you all! Love you guys to bits.

Cheers to 2019

It’s 2019!

Can you believe it?! I’m absolutely shocked by how quickly this past year went. I’m also realizing as I write this that it’s already the 23rd of January. So this month is almost over? Wow. I feel like I’m going to blink and we are celebrating Christmas again. Isn’t that always how it goes?

Well, as everyone does, I decided to make a New Year’s resolution. I have a couple personal ones like making time for my health both mentally and physically as well as actively trying to read more/watch less TV. Those seem to be pretty doable for me. I enjoy reading! I just become a little lazy and switch on the TV instead of grabbing a book. I’ve started doing little tricks for myself like putting the remote control in a drawer and setting a book on the table so it’s easier for me to grab the book than grab the remote. Silly little tricks but I feel like 23 days into the new year, it’s working! Don’t get me wrong, I still have a list of shows and movies I’d like to watch but I’ve also made a list of books that I keep in my notebook to remind myself that there is so much material out there I want to read!

Another resolution I made was to create more. You may be thinking, isn’t that your job!? Well, it is… but, it can sort of take a back seat when you have to also be working on the logistics of what it is to be a creative. It’s not just picking up a camera and shooting. I mean, that’s the best part of it but it’s not the only part. The other part is scheduling the shoots, tracking down products and packages, sending invoices, re-sending invoices, waiting for payments, chasing down payments, following up with previous clients, et cetera! I mean, the list goes on and on and I sometimes feel like I can get lost in that whole process. So, the resolution is to create for myself. Not just for clients! I want to really focus on making things that push my creative boundaries. I used to carry my camera with my everywhere I went, now I resort to an iPhone because to be frank - it’s just easier. But that also means it’s more lazy of me. I could bring my camera around, it’s heavy and annoying but I’m always happy when I have it and with the results of my pictures. That creative process also trickles into this little blog I have. I like writing, I like posting pictures, I like making mood boards and talking about kitchens - so why don’t I dedicate more time to it? I don’t know! It just hasn’t been a priority but that is what I want to focus on this year. I want to post more and take more pictures and talk about those pictures. So, here we are. Figured the best step was to share to you all that I am going to try more. I feel like by putting it out in the world, it sort of gives me some accountability. Which is good for me personally - I need to be reminded!

I also want to thank everyone who comes and visits this space of mine. Thank you. Thank you for taking the time to read, respond, like, comment, or just scroll through! I appreciate each and every one of you. You guys have no idea how much you push me to post and create more. It means the world to me that you chose to check back.

Thank you to all the brands and PR Agencies who also worked with me this past year. Without you, it would be so much harder for me to do what love to do! Thank you for supporting me and your continued support. I can’t wait to see what’s to come in this New Year. I have a lot of exciting changes and projects coming ahead both personally and professionally and I’m so thrilled to share them with you all when the time comes so please keep checking back!

Back to reality....

I'm back!

10 stops in 23 days in France and Italy. Had the most amazing time but I'm so happy to be back home in Chicago.

Stay tuned, I'm going to be updating my blog more and hopefully doing a little guide for Paris since I've been there so many times now. Would love to get feedback on posts you guys like and what you'd like to see more of! Trying to up my engagement so I need your help! :) Thanks loves!

Life Update ~

Well, I'm happy to finally be able to say that I am moving to Chicago in a week! I am beyond thrilled for this next adventure in life as I transition from a small town back into a big city (with a Barneys very close to my apartment - thank G O D).

Anyone been or live in Chicago?? I'd love to get as many recommendations as possible of coffee shops, restaurants, stores, galleries, et cetera ...send them my way! I would greatly appreciate it! <3

Miss me?

Ohhhh gosh, how I've missed blogging and all of you lovely readers!

I've been off in Spain and recently returned home so I'm catching up on e-mails and trying to get back into the flow of work and blogging again...

Meanwhile, at the airports and on airplanes - I got to catch up on some books and magazines which was actually very exciting to me since I don't make as much time for them now as I used to. Just to note that the new PORTER magazine is absolutely fabulous. Definitely worth picking up a copy.

I'll be doing a post on my travels for you all soon but in the meantime I'll leave you with an amazing interior inspiration from a chic restaurant we found in Madrid. It's basically a dream living room with cocktails forever being served in the prettiest of glasses (oh, what a life that would be!)
