I recently purchased the Tom Ford Velvet Orchid fragrance and I'm absolutely obsessed with it. A cool citrus scent with notes of floral petals, honey, and rum - it's the perfect everyday perfume that makes you feel a little bit more lavish after spritzing it on. It's more dramatic so one or two sprays is all you need. Packaged beautiful in a dark plum box and bottle - it's elegant in the most Tom Ford way. I can't get enough.
Fun In The Sun
I'm starting to get really antsy about Summer. (#!!!) Craving the scent of sunscreen and being poolside with a good book in hand. It's still not quite warmed up yet so until then, I'm stocking up on my favorite summer goodies. These products are always in my pool/beach bag and are great essentials to have.
ONE: Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray | So great to have this stuff for when you've hopped out of the pool and don't have time to blow dry your hair. Spray some from roots to end, shake your head around a bit and use your fingers as a brush, you'll get perfect beach hair. I like to add this stuff to touch up my hair for evenings. I use a curling iron to get a little more refined but still effortless look and the salt mixture helps it hold so no need for hairspray.
TWO: Bobbi Brown Lip Balm | Can't live without a good lip balm. I love Bobbi Brown's because it's not oily and can be worn alone or underneath a lipgloss for added glamour.
THREE: Tom Ford Nail Lacquer | I absolutely love a bright color for summer. Orange and Pinks are my favorite. I can't get enough of Tom Ford's Newest collection - this color is gorgeous. Indiscretion? Perfectly named, Mr. Ford.
FOUR: Clarins Sun Care Milk-Lotion Spray | Sunscreen! Oh, what would we do without you! I'm a huge advocate for sunscreen. I apply it every morning to my face and we can only add more as the days get hotter. I honestly think that the highest SPF you can get, the better. I know, being tan is great but it will come gradually. Try to protect your skin as much as possible. This Milk-Lotion is awesome. Smells wonderful and isn't super oily. The spray is convenient as well to get those, hard-to-reach areas. I don't recommend putting this high SPF on your face just because it does still have oil in it and it might clog your more delicate facial pores so go for a 20 SPF for your face and remember to keep re-applying.
Do you have any favorite Spring/Summer beauty products?? I'd love to hear about them!
