Black & White Textures

Currently loving monochromatic head-to-toe looks...

Jensen Lace Jumpsuit Black | Aviana Crop Top + Albina Skirt | Garner Romper White

I've talked to a lot of friends about wearing all black or white outfit and they find it can be kind of, difficult. I mean, you're treading a line between looking like a painter, waiter, or even worse...just plain boring.

I love a good monochromatic look and it's sort of a staple in my wardrobe. The key is playing with different silhouettes and mixing textures/materials. Wearing a flowy silk top with black skinnies, a fitted tee with wide-leg trousers, or even better an all lace romper or jumpsuit. The textures and materials really are what make the outfit exciting and if you'd rather not do too much experimenting, definitely opt for an outfit that does the 'deciding' for you like a jumpsuit or romper. All you need is some sky-high skinny heels with a jumpsuit or ankle booties with a cute, short, romper and you're good to go. I promise, no one will think these outfits are by any means boring.

Runway: Givenchy Spring 2016

I was surprisingly, underwhelmed by most of the shows this year. Maybe it was the intense coverage on a few 'select' models and their where-abouts rather than the clothes they were wearing or it just simply wasn't as exciting this year in the city. Thank God there is still London and Paris to look forward to. However, there are a few designers that seem to always excite me every season including the newbies over at Public School and the ever so amazing Carolina Herrera and the ladies behind Marchesa. I'm also always obsessed with what Tisci is creating over at Givenchy.

Showcasing an incredible collection for all of New York to see with over 80+ looks including menswear. Talk about putting on a S H O W. Every piece sort of left you wanting to look at it for an hour longer, feel all the lace details, and slip on one of the long black-silk-robe coats. ughhh, so divine. Hard to narrow down my favorites but here goes...

I'll take one of each of these looks, please...
