STYLE: Casual Cool.

I feel like I’ve been in a little bit of a clothing rut. Mostly because I’m tired of wearing Summer clothes 24/7 (sorry, I’m sure most of you who went through the recent snow storms hate hearing this!) but recently we’ve had cooler weather and tons of rain. I ran to the grocery store the other night and got to put a big sweatshirt on and loved every second of it.

I recently stumbled upon this outfit by one of my favorite bloggers @Modeduamour. It’s just a good, casual look with items that I already have in my closet. A good sweatshirt, an oversized blazer, straight-leg jeans and sneakers…easy! Feels very put together for being so casual. For those in colder places, layering some thermal leggings under this and a tight black turtleneck as another layer would be perfect.

Definitely saving this look for another rainy day and as a future Winter look. Hope everyone is having a good start to their year! Excited for what’s to come in this new year and thank you to everyone who keeps coming back to read my special little place on the internet. This blog has meant so much to me and I’m so grateful for every click that comes my way. Thank you friends for the support - love you all!

FASHION: Phil Oh's Street Style #NYFW Edition

STREET STYLE HAS RETURNED!

Ooof, what a breath of fresh air. I feel like Paris Fashion Week was a blur so I’m focusing on the latest #NYFW. Have you been keeping up with the shows? I feel like I’ve been so uninspired by clothes and that very well could be because I don’t leave the house much and spend most my time crawling around picking up toys in sweatpants. So, I was a little jealous to see everyone out and about dressed up and putting their best foot forward. I’ll get there again, eventually? In the meantime - here are some of my favorite snaps.

Do you have a favorite street-style star? I always love to see the editors post show. Aimee Song is still one of my favorite OG bloggers and I always enjoy seeing what she wears. Missed so many people we normally see at shows but alas, the pandemic is still happening so I understand why people skipped out. Also, shoutout to everyone who still wore a mask because again….pandemic.

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I have some great posts coming up this week so make sure to stay tuned.

EDITORIAL: Pernille Teisbaek x Farfetch

I’m a huge fan of stylist and OG blogger, Pernille Teisbaek.

Her style is effortless, minimal, and cool mom I want to hang out with! I’ve been following her for years now and she truly has my dream closet. She has a great way of looking timeless but with an edgy twist. Pernille wears lots of minimal looks but she can also wear and style color really well too which is something I am not great at. I can find color to be intimidating and I always feel like when I wear colorful things, they tend to get repetitive way faster than a neutral color.

Living on an island though, I do feel like color goes so well here and it just makes me happy! So I’ve been taking style cues from Pernille on how to dress with color.

Well, in the meantime of researching her looks, I came across this recent collaboration she did with Farfetch wearing one of my favorite new designers, Khaite.

I had to share it because selfishly I want to look back at it for style inspo but also it’s just so beautiful done and photographed, I knew you all would appreciate it as much as I do!

I would definitely give Pernille a follow as well, she does not disappoint! Especially if you’re looking how to update your wardrobe with great, timeless pieces. Follow her on IG, HERE.

EDITORIAL: Keeping It Real With Kirsten Dunst

I am a huge fan of actress Kirsten Dunst since her childhood days. I remember watching her as young Amy March in Little Women with my mom and then being forced to watch Jumaji with my brothers and thinking she was so cool. Following her incredible career I was enthralled with her in the Virgin Suicides, a movie I still watch a bunch today and take inspiration from. Then came Marie Antoinette which is by far one of my favorite movies. I think I put it on almost once a week, it’s the only movie I went out and bought the DVD as soon as it came out so that I could watch it whenever I wanted. I’m pretty sure I also bought it on Apple Movies so I can have it on my phone. Cleary a huge fan!

I remember bookmarking this Editorial she was in last August for Porter Magazine and figured I would share it since I keep looking back at it! Dunst is so angelic, I don’t know if it’s the blonde hair or the fact that I feel everything she does it gold. Who knows, just sit-back and scroll because she looks stunning and the styling for the Editorial is so dreamy. *le sigh*

This is a great article on Kirsten Dunst, she talks about growing up in Hollywood and her latest role in Becoming a God in Central Florida so I highly recommend you clock over to Net-A-Porter to read it!
