#ThrowbackThursday | The New Céline, 2009

Taking it back to Phoebe Philo's first collection for Céline, circa 2009.

The central thing to know about her Celine clothes, which are terrific for a number of reasons, is that they reflect an every-day style. By that I mean they are clothes you want to wear every day, whether you work in an office or a gallery, part-time or at home. They answer the questions many women have about wanting to look good at work—appropriate—while still looking relaxed and casual.

Read the New York Times Review of her debut here...very interesting how greatly loved Philo was and continues to be.

Jeans as unique as you are. Cc: @Re/Done

RE/DONE is a movement - a movement to restore individuality to the luxury fashion space, a movement to keep heritage brands relevant, and a movement to create sustainable fashion.

I've been obsessing over my old Levis lately. I wear them so often, I even rolled up my black skinny jeans and put them away....for a bit. I had been following this brand Re/Done lately and finally tried on a pair at Barneys. They are literal perfection. Keeping the spirit and fabric of Levi's alive with every piece taken apart and remade into a new perfect pair.

Seen on all the fashion faves like Leandra Medine, Bella Hadid, and all the VS Angels...of course. No two pieces are alike so if you find a pair you love, BUY THEM. I sadly made the mistake of letting a pair pass and I haven't found another pair that's fit me just right yet but I'm on the hunt! Granted, I do feel like the price is a tad bit steep but every girl that I know who has bought a pair say it's completely worth every penny.

Gabriela Artigas Fine Jewelry

I'm always looking for great new pieces to add to my jewelry collection. Recently, I came across these fine Jewelry designers known as Gabriela Artigas when they did a pop-up shop in Chicago.

I followed them on Instagram and have fallen head-over-heels for Teresita and Gabriela Artigas, the sisters behind the label. With their clean lines and interesting shapes to flatter your earlobes, neck, wrist and fingers. With just the right amount of sparkle, these pieces translate so well into everyday wear, stacked together or worn alone. Take a look...

These are just a few of my favorite pieces. Love their rose and yellow gold rings both in the statement pieces as well as the dainty stack on rings that I want to pile onto my hands, immediately!

Check out their very cool website GabrielaArtigas.com and learn more about this amazing brand.

If your curious - their Instagram is très chic, a definite must follow.

Shop their pieces HERE and HERE. They even have some pieces for a steal over on TheOutnet!

Currently Loving: Furry Slides.

I've recently become obsessed with Furry slides. I love a shoe that has an interesting feature or in this case, texture. Turning a basic slide into something much more exciting. Initial reaction? A little concerned about the cleanliness factor to be honest...I think I can move past that though once I slip my foot into these Brother Vellies slides.

So many styles currently and maybe it all started with the Gucci Loafer last Fall that changed my perspective on how chic and amazing a good slide is and then the sandal furries started rolling in for summer and I was sold.

ONE: Miu Miu Shearling Sandal

TWO: Brother Vellies Marabou Lamu Sandal

THREE: Tibi Jack Slides

FOUR: Givenchy Mink Slides

-

Found some great Zara options as well if you're more into faux...

Option ONE // Option TWO (love these!)

Definitely hoping to pick up a pair. Brother Vellies are my favorite but Tibi's Jack Slides are a close second for me. The Miu Miu's are incredible though, tried them on the other day and it's like walking on a bed of clouds!

What are your thoughts on the furry shoe? Love? or hate..?

Let Them Eat Cake

Taking a moment to finally post about the newly renovated Ritz Carlton in my favorite city in the world, Paris. Trés chic, is an understatement. Interior Designer Thierry Despont brought all that is luxe and the epitome of glamour a la Marie Antoinette.

With a pastel color palette that will make you dream of cakes and French macaroons on a bed fit for a queen. I'm sure there is plenty of champagne to go around while you spend your day lounging in one of these incredible rooms. Pop a bottle or two during your stay at this iconic location in the most amazing city of lights and love. I mean, can I plan a trip where half of it is just spent enjoying my hotel room? What a dream that would be.
