DESIGN: Kana Chair by Vonnegut Kraftο»Ώ
Kana Chair is a minimalist chair created by Brooklyn-based designer Vonnegut Kraft. The Kana Chair is made of ash with a black/matte lacquer nish and upholstered in a tan mohair. The frame slips down and and around the seat to create an elegant tension between the upholstery and wood, while the upholstery slumps to complete the chair back. The tension between the materials is sculptural while still creating a comfortable piece.
You all know I am a sucker for good design. Furniture design has become such an inspiration to me. I love a piece that can be aesthetically beautiful but also functional. I could just imagine this beautiful chair being the focal point of an entrance with a large vintage mirror sitting behind it. It would also be such a dreamy vanity chair. Placed right under a beautiful marble top with all your favorite perfumes lined up in front of it. Ugh, perfection.

Mood Board : Feeling Green
Iβve been spending a lot of time looking at images that make me happy and keep me calm. Browsing magazines and Pinterest to keep my mind busy. This is all uncharted territory for most of us, and we all may be a little anxious, overwhelmed, scared, and thatβs ok! Youβre allowed to feel this way. I personally have felt a bit scared and anxious, especially being pregnant. I canβt just stop into my doctor if something doesnβt feel right. I also donβt know if I got sick how this would affect myself or my baby. The answer is unknown to me and to most at this point so all I can do is try my best to be positive and take things day by day. I call my mom a lot, Iβve been reading a lot, Iβve been focusing on work, of course staying at home social distancing myself and my family, and each day gives me a little hope that we all will get through this.
These are images that made me happy today. I guess I gravitated towards green and neutral tones because thatβs the mini theme I noticed while compiling these together!
I hope they give you a little bit of joy.
