Happy 2014
Hello hello!
My goodness - doesn't it feel good to write on the first Monday of the year. The Holidays came and went and with sadness, my mom and I have been packing up the Christmas decorations. Until next year, Saint Nick!
I'm not big on New Year's Resolutions - mostly because I seem to fall short of my own expectations and then get angry with myself which is something that I actually do need to work on. I tend to get upset when I don't do what I want to do and end up beating myself up about it instead of trying again, or harder. So, I wouldn't say it's a resolution - more like a goal. A goal to not let the little things get to me, learning to let go and try again. My goals list this year is pretty excessive but my life changed so much the last couple months of 2013, I have no doubt I can accomplish everything I have set out to do for this year.
So cheers to a New Year. Cheers to the goals we have set out for ourselves, and cheers to not letting them take over our lives! Cheers to the lessons that are to come and the growth we will make from them!

Scotch & Soda.
I recently discovered Amsterdam Couture brand SCOTCH & SODA - I may be extremely late on this discovery but I am loving it. They opened up a store at the Cherry Creek Mall in Denver and I really liked the atmosphere of the store. When I went inside and saw the clothes I got so excited. I'm normally very minimal when It comes to dress in color and in design but Scotch & Soda has a way of making color seem not so, intimidating. Their looks are very European but with their isherman style sweaters and kitschy printed tee's the looks are very wearable. Kind of reminds me a bit of étoile by Isabel Marrant specifically in the knitwear.

Chevron Wood Floors
I dream of the day I can one day own a home with wooden floors. I think they add such a cozy element to a home especially when peaking up from underneath a beautiful rug. My apartment in college had wooden floors and it was so easy for cleaning and although they can be a bit cold - in a deep rich wood accents any home beautifully and gives a warm feeling. Lately, I've been loving the idea of wooden floors but positioned in a chevron pattern. I never knew this could be done and I'm guessing you have to leave it to professionals to line up the wood correctly but the end result is truly stunning. A girl can dream of wood chevron floors - right?
